January 14, 2008 – Civil society organizations have called on the annual anniversary of the kidnapping of Sheikh Mohammad al-Moayad and Mohammad Zayed, the two Yemenis detained in United States, to arrange a rally in solidarity with them.
They said in a statement that charges presented against al-Moayad and Zayed are not considered crimes in the Yemeni law as well as humanitarian law, pointing out that support of Hamas movement is not prohibited in Yemen and Arab and Islamic countries.
