Sahwa Net – Parliament approved on Sunday sending a letter to the government urging it to do its best in order to release sheikh Mohammad al-Moayad and Mohammad Zayed, the tow Yemeni citzens detained in the United States.

A New York appeals court had overturned terrorism convictions for al-Moayad and Zayed, saying they did not receive a fair trial.

The deputy speaker of parliament Akram Attaya welcomed the verdict considering it a triumph and rehabilitation for Yemeni people.

"What happened to al-Moayad and Zayed is injustice and insult for all Yemenis" he said.

Sheik Mohammed Ali al-Moayad and Mohammed Zayed, were sentenced in 2005 to 75 and 45 years in prison, respectively, after being convicted of conspiring to provide material support and resources to foreign terrorist organizations. They now can have new trials under a different judge.
